Open Access compliance
To be compliant, an item must meet at least one of the following conditions:
- The deposit, discovery and access requirements are met.
- There is a deposit exception.
- There is an access exception and the deposit and discovery requirements are met.
- There is a technical exception.
- There is an 'other' exception.
Deposit
To be deposit compliant, all of the following conditions must be met.
The output must have been deposited as the author’s accepted and final peer reviewed text.
The must be set (ie. the item is a compliant deposit).
The output must have been deposited as soon after the point of acceptance as possible.
The must be no later than three months after the . If the is before 1st April 2018, must be no later than three months after the .
Discovery
To be discovery compliant, all of the following conditions must be met:
The output must be presented in a way that allows it to be discovered by readers.
The item must be in the .
Access
To be access compliant, all of the following conditions must be met.
The output must meet the access requirements as soon as possible.
If no embargo applies, the must be less than one month after the . Otherwise, the must be less than one month after the embargo expiry date ( + ).
Embargo periods should not exceed the following maxima
The must not exceed the stated maxima for the target .
